The church looked beautiful this morning for Easter! Here are a few pics that I thought you all might want to see up close…
This was the shrine of the Blessed Sacrament that we set up last night. It’s actually more visible at night than in the day time. I love the yard sign too (Thank you, Hellene!). I hope people walking around the neighborhood will take a moment to stop and pray. The next pic is the shrine with added flowers and the monstrance this morning. Come and lay your flowers outside the church before the altar.
This is the 2020 Paschal Candle. I don’t know whether St. Peter’s has ever had a candle this big! But it fits our space nicely. Perhaps better than it fits our deacons. 😉
And look at those flowers! Gorgeous. So much color, and so much joy! These might be my favorite arrangements we’ve ever had on the altar at St. Peter’s (well done, Becky!).
It was a truly lovely Easter. Thank you to the other clergy, to our musicians, Evan and Jess, and to Monika, Victor, and Becky for getting everything set up! And thank you to Rick for getting our internet running faster to help with our live-stream!
I miss you all, and I anticipate with joy the day when we will worship together in the same wonderful church building again. In the meantime, get out there and keep being the church.
Alleluia! Christ is risen!
