I’ve been pleased to see how many people are asking for prayers on social media and making prayer requests during our live-streamed services. One of the ways that we can stay connected during the Coronavirus pandemic is by continuing to pray for one another. When you pray for someone, your focus is outside yourself, centered on the needs of others and on God. That’s a really good posture for the soul.
So we are making the commitment that everyday at noon, folks from St. Peter’s will gather on Zoom simply to pray together. It won’t be as structured as you’re used to in a worship service, and it won’t last as long–maybe 15 or 20 minutes max–but it will help us to genuinely connect with each other and remind us to look outside ourselves and to God.
Anyone can join! If you’ve never used Zoom before, you can either 1) download the app and create a profile to video chat, or 2) call in on your phone and treat it more like a phone conference.
It’s easier than you think it will be–I promise!
