The week started with tearing out the old platform, and there has been a big push to get the Parish Hall ready for church on Sunday. More painting, cleaning, and installing the base plate along the walls were just some of the the items being completed. There will still be some finishing touches to be done in the coming weeks, and the kitchen will not be done yet as the work is on a later schedule. But come Sunday, St. Peters’s will worship in our newly updated space.
Work has also started on the stained glass panel features that will flank the big window in the Parish Hall. The windows had to be carefully cut off the metal beams that held them up in the Nave, and we got a sneak peak of what they will look like back lit.
The new platform was rebuilt on Thursday. Look! The prayers offered up last Sunday are there below the altar.
Thank you to everyone who came to unload the POD Friday morning. What a crew! Done in just over an hour.
