The Heart of God

On Sunday, Fr. John Schmidt from All Angels Church in New York City preached the 9am service and we baptized Maggie Grace. I’m reminded that our highest calling as Christians is to be one in Christ. Despite our earthly divisions, our heavenly reality is that we are bound to one another in Christ’s love, and that love cannot be shaken. Give thanks this week for another member of Christ’s body who has built you up in his love. – Fr. Perry

About The Author

John graduated from Furman University with a B.A. in Studio Art, spent the next four years in Washington, D.C. serving a parachurch youth ministry, and completed his M.Div. from Duke Divinity School, culminating in ordination in 2018. He spent the following two years serving in North Dallas, TX in suburban and rural contexts and eventually found his way to New York and All Angels’ Church. John is excited to continue exploring the intersection of theology and the arts, and he hopes that all might come to know that they are fully loved and fully known by God.
