Mercy: Inward and Outward

What does mercy look like? According to author Anne Lamott, “Mercy means that we no longer constantly judge everybody’s large and tiny failures, foolish hearts, dubious convictions, and inevitable bad behavior.” If that’s what mercy looks like, there’s not much mercy in the world right now, or at least not enough mercy. The world needs your mercy.

About The Author

Mtr. Kathy Heitmann is the Associate Rector and Director of Youth Ministries. After graduating from Yale Divinity School, she served churches around the country in many different roles. She loves working with the youth and a wonderful team of youth ministry volunteers. She also enjoys teaching adults, visiting shut-ins, leading mission trips, and much more. Mtr. Kathy has two children in college, and one very energetic black lab.
