The Good Wine

Miracles are encounters with God that defy our comprehension. At the wedding in Cana, Jesus performed his first miracle when he turned water into wine. The steward of the feast tasted the wine and was astonished at its good quality. How easily we settle for ‘mediocre wine’ in life when God offers us something miraculously better! Accept the ‘good wine’ instead. Look for God, ask for miracles, receive love, expect joy, and find peace. Don’t settle for anything less than what God is giving you.

Fr. Perry Mullins is the Rector of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in McKinney. He grew up an Episcopalian. During college and afterward, he worked in youth ministry in San Antonio and Austin, and then entered the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest. Fr. Perry loves preaching, teaching, and outreach, and still has a heart for children’s and youth ministries. He was called to be Rector of St. Peter’s in 2017. He is married to Sarah, and they have two children.
