To Whom Can We Go

It takes everything that we are and everything that we have to commit to a life of faith. Jesus never told us that it would be easy. He actually said the opposite. It’s like stoking coals in a fire – they need attention, time, and energy. For Christians, that means prayer, studying Scripture, serving others, and living in Christian community. Recommit yourself today to God. Stoke the coals and get the flame going strong. Check your priorities and change them if you need to. Give yourself more fully to the one who has given you everything.

Fr. Perry Mullins is the Rector of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in McKinney. He grew up an Episcopalian. During college and afterward, he worked in youth ministry in San Antonio and Austin, and then entered the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest. Fr. Perry loves preaching, teaching, and outreach, and still has a heart for children’s and youth ministries. He was called to be Rector of St. Peter’s in 2017. He is married to Sarah, and they have two children.
