I learned at a young age that food is about much more than sustenance. It’s about community, family, and love. The feeding of the five thousand is John’s Communion story, and it perfectly demonstrates the principle that if there isn’t enough room at the table, you build a bigger table. Far too often, we operate in a mindset of scarcity instead of abundance, but we believe in a God of abundance. There is truly enough to go around. Enough food, enough love, enough joy, enough of God for us all. Our joy as Christians is simply to share what has been given to us.
