Trust God & Wash Your Hands

The coronavirus pandemic has taken over our lives and changed our worlds—and all very quickly. I want you to remember three things: First, anxiety and fear do not help us to become the people God created us to be. Second, Social distancing can cause isolation if we aren’t careful. And third, we believe in a God who provides abundantly. God fed the Israelites in the desert with manna from heaven, and he fed the crowds on the hillside with just five loaves and two fish. And he will care for us too. Trust that the manna will fall from heaven. Trust that the loaves will last. Trust God. (And wash your hands.)

Fr. Perry Mullins is the Rector of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in McKinney. He grew up an Episcopalian. During college and afterward, he worked in youth ministry in San Antonio and Austin, and then entered the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest. Fr. Perry loves preaching, teaching, and outreach, and still has a heart for children’s and youth ministries. He was called to be Rector of St. Peter’s in 2017. He is married to Sarah, and they have two children.
