There are moments in our lives when everything clicks into place, when the veil between heaven and earth becomes thin. Baptism is one of those moments. But in baptism, we don’t just see through the veil—it’s torn down. God comes close to us and becomes a part of us, and we of him. Baptism is living out the reality that everything we thought was wrong—that God is not distant—that we are not broken beyond repair—and that we are loved, even when we are unlovable. What does it look like to live with God in your life? How does it change your daily routines or your priorities?
