Big Picture of Faith

It’s so easy for us to get bogged down in the details and miss the big picture. Isaiah spoke out against the practice of offering sacrifices to God because Israel was using it as a crutch to miss the big picture. What is the big picture of our faith other than love? We need to love more deeply–to love God in a way that demands something from us–to love others even and especially when they are difficult to love. What is one way that you can tangibly love more deeply this week?

Fr. Perry Mullins is the Rector of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in McKinney. He grew up an Episcopalian. During college and afterward, he worked in youth ministry in San Antonio and Austin, and then entered the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest. Fr. Perry loves preaching, teaching, and outreach, and still has a heart for children’s and youth ministries. He was called to be Rector of St. Peter’s in 2017. He is married to Sarah, and they have two children.
