It’s easy for us to be observers—to be bystanders looking in, even at our own faith, from the outside. We tend to want to keep things at arm’s length, especially things that will be painful or difficult. Too often, our faith is one of those things. Holy Week is an example of that. It’s inconvenient, hard, and doesn’t comfort us immediately. But if we walk with Jesus to the cross and to death, then on Easter, we will also be raised with Him. Don’t be a bystander this week. Jump in and participate, especially if it is difficult.
