Choices

Our gospel reading gave examples of people making choices. John the Baptist chose to follow the hard road of a prophet that God had given him. Herod chose power and prestige over saving a man’s life. Herodias chose revenge. if we are going to grow in our Christian lives, we must acknowledge that it is not enough just to enjoy listening to the Christian message. When faced with a choice, is your action (or reaction) bringing glory to God or glory to you?
