Raphael and The Popes

Raphael’s The Transfiguration of Christ  is one of the artistic masterpieces of the Renaissance. It is perhaps also a theological masterpiece as it explores who Christ is and what Christ does. We see Christ as the Son of God in the top half of the painting and we see Christ heal in the bottom half. Take a moment to explore the painting yourself.

About The Author

Mtr. Kathy Heitmann is the Associate Rector and Director of Youth Ministries. After graduating from Yale Divinity School, she served churches around the country in many different roles. She loves working with the youth and a wonderful team of youth ministry volunteers. She also enjoys teaching adults, visiting shut-ins, leading mission trips, and much more. Mtr. Kathy has two children in college, and one very energetic black lab.
